What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

The Bible
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, the revelation of God to man, and the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New International Version)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The Trinity
We believe that the God of the Bible has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
Matthew 3:16-17 (New International Version)
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, (speaking to his Deity), and the only Savior of the world (speaking to his exclusivity).
John 1:1 & 14 (New International Version)
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:6 (New International Version)
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Further, the Scriptures declare: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to empower the Church. Acts 1:8 (New International Version)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
